Recipes
The ‘Recipes’ section in Forkto is where you can create and manage all the recipes for your food business. Recipes in Forkto are the basis for creating products.
Overview of Recipes Section
When you navigate to the ‘Recipes’ section, you will find a list of all your current recipes. Each recipe is represented by a card that displays key information about the recipe, including its name, cost, allergen information, and whether it’s archived.
Creating a Recipe
To create a new recipe:
- Navigate to the ‘Recipes’ section.
- Click on the ‘Create a Recipe’ button.
- A form will appear asking for the new recipe’s details, such as its name, ingredients, and allergen information.
- After filling in the form, click ‘Save’ to create the recipe. The new recipe will now appear in your list of recipes.
Please note, you need to have items in your stock to create a recipe. If you do not have any items in your stock, you will be prompted to add some.
Viewing Recipe Details
To view a recipe’s details:
- Find the recipe you want to view from the list of recipes.
- Click on its card. This will open a detailed view of the recipe, showing its name, ingredients, cost of production, allergen information, and other details.
Creating a Product from a Recipe
To create a product from a recipe:
- Find the recipe you want to use from the list of recipes.
- Click on its card. This will open a detailed view of the recipe.
- Click on the ‘Create a Product’ button.
- A form will appear asking for the product’s details, such as its name and price.
- Fill out the form and click ‘Save’ to create the product. The product will be created and can be found in the ‘Products’ section.
Remember, creating accurate recipes in Forkto is vital for producing consistent products, calculating cost of production, and managing allergen information.
