Update Log 1: Departments, Improved Checks & QOL Changes

We are back with some exciting updates that are set to revolutionize the way you manage your food business. Our team has been working tirelessly to bring you features that not only simplify your daily operations but also enhance the efficiency and compliance of your business. Let’s dive right in and explore what’s new in Forkto!
Introducing Departments
In our continuous effort to streamline your business operations, we are thrilled to introduce the concept of “Departments”. This feature allows you to categorize various elements of your business into specific departments, helping to reduce clutter and focus on what truly matters. Here’s what you can do:

Assign Specific Checks to Departments: You can now assign specific checks to different teams or roles, ensuring that they only see the tasks relevant to their department.

File Management by Department: Admins can view files from all departments for easier management, while users will only see files pertinent to their department. Moreover, the files uploaded by users will automatically be assigned to their respective departments.

User Department Assignments: In the Users page, you can now assign departments to users by editing their profiles. For those who wear many hats, a department switcher has been integrated into the menu, allowing multi-skilled users to seamlessly switch between departments and access the information they need, enhancing flexibility and efficiency.

Enhanced Check Form Fields
We have also revamped our check form fields to make your experience even smoother. Here are the new additions:

Supplier Selection Field: A new check form field that automatically populates with your existing suppliers, making the process of conducting checks even more seamless.

Improved Check Submission Process: To save you time, we have modified the check submission process. Now, after a check is submitted, it will return to the list of check forms instead of showing a preview of the submitted form.
Minor Tweaks for a Major Impact
We believe in constantly evolving to serve you better. Here are some minor tweaks that will have a major impact on your user experience:

New Check Cards & Report Tiles: Experience a fresh look with our new check cards and report tiles, designed to offer more consistent styling.

Enhanced Speed: Enjoy faster load times across various pages, enhancing your overall experience.

Alphabetical Sorting of Checks: For easier navigation, checks are now sorted alphabetically.

Barcode Scanner Support: Our barcode scanner now supports Code 128 barcodes, expanding its utility.
