We’ve got some exciting news to share with you today. As you know, we’ve been working hard on building and improving Forkto, driven by our goal to make a positive impact. Well, it seems our efforts have caught some attention!
We’re humbled to announce that Forkto has been given the Mayor’s Innovation – Youth Entrepreneurship Award 2023 by the Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council. We still can’t quite believe it, but it’s real – we checked!
When we first started Forkto, we knew we had a good idea, but receiving this recognition has been a bit of a ‘pinch-me’ moment. We met Mayor Scott Carson in person to accept the award. He’s a big supporter of local initiatives and has a real passion for encouraging entrepreneurship – something that resonated with us.
But we haven’t got here by ourselves. Forkto isn’t a solo project. It’s a community effort, built with plenty of teamwork, a dash of passion, and a healthy dose of perseverance. So, whether you’ve been with us from the start, or just recently joined the family, this achievement is as much yours as it is ours.
Winning this award isn’t about getting a shiny trophy to put on the mantle (although, admittedly, it does look pretty cool). It’s more about the recognition of our vision and what we’re trying to accomplish. It’s a nice little nudge in the right direction, reminding us that when we keep focused and determined, we can make good things happen.
