Complaints
Learn how to log, track, and resolve supplier complaints in Forkto.
The Complaints feature in Forkto lets you log and track complaints against suppliers when there’s an issue with a meat delivery. You can document the problem, track affected weight, attach photos, and share the complaint with the supplier.
Overview
The Complaints page shows a table of all complaints with the date, product, supplier, status, number of issues, and actions. Use the search bar to find specific complaints.
Creating a Complaint
To log a new complaint:
- Click ‘Create Complaint’.
- Select the meat intake the complaint relates to from the dropdown (sorted by most recent).
- The form auto-fills with the intake details — supplier, product, invoice, weight, dates, and temperature.
- Submit to create the complaint. You’ll be taken to the edit page to add issues.
Adding Issues to a Complaint
Once a complaint is created, add the specific issues:
- On the complaint edit page, click ‘Add Issue’.
- For each issue, fill in:
- Issue type — the category of problem.
- Weight — the amount of product affected (in grams, kilograms, or tonnes).
- Photos — attach photos as evidence.
- Notes — describe the issue in detail.
- Add as many issues as needed. Changes are auto-saved.
The page shows a weight breakdown — a table and chart showing the total intake weight vs the weight affected by each issue type, with percentages calculated automatically.
Complaint Statuses
Complaints move through four statuses:
- Pending — newly created, not yet investigated.
- In Progress — being looked into.
- Resolved — issue has been addressed.
- Critical — escalated due to severity.
Change the status using the dropdown on the complaint edit page.
Sharing with Suppliers
You can share a complaint with the relevant supplier so they can see the details. The supplier receives an email with temporary login access to view the complaint (read-only).
Supplier View
If your account has the Supplier role, you’ll see a read-only view of complaints raised against your products, with intake details and the issues logged. You cannot create, edit, or delete complaints.
Document complaints thoroughly with photos and weight measurements. This creates a clear record for supplier discussions and helps track recurring quality issues.
